  • How do I claim back on Medicare?

    • Under the Chronic Disease Management Plan or Enhanced Primary Care Plan referred by your GP you can claim for up to 5 physiotherapy sessions annually.
    • We are now able to claim your Medicare rebate directly from our management system. Once full payment is processed the invoice claim will be automatically sent to Medicare. Medicare will then process your rebate into your account or a cheque will be posted out to you.
    • For medicare to automatically claim a rebate for a minor, some additional details are required to complete the transaction. We will need a parent’s or carer’s Medicare number, date of birth, address and bank details if not already sent to Medicare.
    • Medicare rebate under physiotherapy code 10960.
    • For more information regarding care plans please refer to this website.
  • Can I claim back on private health?

We have health fund claiming facilities available at the clinic and can claim your health fund rebate at the time of payment.

The rebate amount depends on the type of extras cover you have on your health fund. If you would like to know the exact amount that can be claimed at each consultation, please consult your specific health fund to establish how much rebate you’re entitled to for physiotherapy.

  • National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

    • Osana can provide physiotherapy services under the NDIS scheme for self-managed and plan-managed participants.
    • Please email through your plan prior to your session to review goals
    • Service agreements can be provided upon request.
  • Initial consultation

Please arrive 5-10 minutes early for your first consultation for your child to become familiar with the new surroundings and to complete our client information sheet. The initial consultation will take approximately 60 minutes.

    Please bring:

    • Your child’s birth record book (red book)
    • Related medical reports, letters and referral letters
    • The shoes your child wears if there are lower limb concerns
      and
    • Photo and video evidence. If you have any of your child’s milestones on video, such as crawling, or if you have a video of your concerns such as the way they walk or run during sport, it can be very helpful.
  • What to wear to the appointment

Please ensure your child wears comfortable clothing that allows for the treatment area to be examined. For example, for lower extremity injuries please remember to bring shorts, for upper extremities we advise a t-shirt or tank top. For infants we may require just the nappy to examine the body’s motor patterns.

  • Siblings

As we are a family-friendly clinic we recognise it is sometimes difficult to find someone to look after siblings. At Osana siblings are welcome to attend but parents and guardians are fully responsible for their supervision. We suggest the sibling bring along a quiet activity so the child attending treatment isn’t being distracted and parents can concentrate on the discussion with the physiotherapist.
