Photo and video evidence. If you have any of your child’s milestones on video, such as crawling, or if you have a video of your concerns such as the way they walk or run during sport, it can be very helpful.
Please ensure your child wears comfortable clothing that allows for the treatment area to be examined. For example, for lower extremity injuries please remember to bring shorts, for upper extremities we advise a t-shirt or tank top. For infants we may require just the nappy to examine the body’s motor patterns.
As we are a family-friendly clinic we recognise it is sometimes difficult to find someone to look after siblings. At Osana siblings are welcome to attend but parents and guardians are fully responsible for their supervision. We suggest the sibling bring along a quiet activity so the child attending treatment isn’t being distracted and parents can concentrate on discussion with the physiotherapist.
We prefer clients not bring food to consume during sessions as we have clientele with multiple allergies. We advise parents to provide their children with a snack before they arrive or after the completion of the session.
